I’m sure the case is more complex, and I’m glad there are efforts to hold these companies accountable; I just don’t believe the conspiracy theory that our phones are listening us - our batteries would die even faster :) There are always simpler explanations, as the poster explains in his thread.

Many people who run or work in theatres subconsciously think of their participation department as a mouth - there to talk to the people in the local area who may not, for whatever reason, come to the theatre, or think theatre is for them.
