Ar tonelico is one that i expect absolutely nobody to know about. It is utter dogshit as a video game but it also pretty much just does the bare minimum to even qualify as one outside of the concepts and worldbuilding it tries to convey. Pretty sure you heard the soundtrack before.

I haven't tried it myself but there's plenty of options (KVM, VMWare, Virtualbox) and they're like 5 times more efficient with resources than they were in 2014

If it needs GPU or USB access (beyond like, mouse keyboard stuff) it seems to require setting up passthrough configurations that are a PITA

Can always start by installing it on a separate SSD and dual booting. Slightly inconvenient for boot times but you wouldn't have to give up your current workflow process until you figured out if all the software you need works or get a whole second machine.
