i knew i wanted ribs, then tentatively took something that looked like deep fried garden snake. it was long and stringy and batter fried. when i retrieved it i noticed it wasn’t one long strand but two kind of fused together. i took a bite to see if i liked it…i’d never had snake…and
just woke up fr a dream in which I stood in front of a platter of diff grilled/bbqed meats (ribs, shrimp) at my parents’ old house trying to make a selection. everything looked weird and not very meaty…organ meats, stuff w shells or gristle like crustaceans and trilobytes and crickets n shit...
i know things are really dire right now. but maybe this will make you laugh (it did me). part of my writing practice has involved mining my phone notes for cast off buried treasure, things to possibly develop or incorporate into projects in progress. and so i found this:
