MERCURY IN TARDIGRADE IS TEH WORST.
Welp, I've got words to write, dust bunnies to slay, and boss monsters to crush.
Wishing you a calm day filled with what you need, and a welcome surprise that reminds you how awesome you are.
I'm begging the small local community groups in Ireland to please consider reframing their use of AI design work this way. The amount of drama and theatre groups in my sphere that I see using AI posters now just makes me sad.
Who will save every one of us?
Flash? Flash Gordon?
Ah-ahhhhhh...
Please donβt forget to vote today! Texas, Arkansas, and North Carolina are kicking off the 2026 midterm cycle with their primary elections.
GM's Day is almost upon us! The fine folks at Kobold Press have a gamemaster's bundle on @drivethrurpg.com that includes several fine books with a ton of contributors including yours truly! Huzzah! www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/557853/a-kobold-gamemastering-bundle?affiliate_id=185516
My alternative view of the rapture is that if you deliberately degrade the environment to try to bring it about, God's going to say you're an asshole and leave you behind when the time comes.
No idea what you're dealing with right now, but I want you to know that you are not alone. Hang in there.
Cat is an excellent instructor. Worth your time!
This is obscene, ghastly, unacceptable.
...So in local news: I still need to get some more heating oil for the house before the prices, uh, do what they're going to do. Want some pretty-low-priced #ebook bundles that have never been anywhere near AI slop? Grab one of these and help keep a writer warm! π dduane.link/EBDBundlesLi...
You know... For people who have never been in a conflict where the "other side" stood up for themselves, they don't expect resistance. They don't think people they hurt will fight back.
Awesome! Have a great time!
Huge congrats! Wooooooo!
Boston Globe: The student newspaper, The Dartmouth, reported in January that the communications office approached Teddy Roberts β a student who works on Evergreen β about publishing a November op-ed that praised the AI project. Roberts later told The Dartmouth that communications officers edited the piece before submission and that Evergreen paid him for writing the op-ed.
Remember all that faux outrage about "outside agitators" during the pro-Palestine encampments? That is actually what's happening with AI on campuses and administrations are fully complicit in it. This example is such a vile betrayal of student trust and what these schools are supposed to teach.
Black cat with big round eyes peeking from the bottom right corner against a soft textured yellow background. Handwritten white text reads, βI hope everything goes well for you today.β
This is an excellent read -- and even if you think you already know these things, it's worth a revisit to be reminded.
I'm still trying to cover some home expenses while I finish some other work! Thank you so much for your support so far!
I've been seeing this vibe about antagonists. That the villains are too villainous and unrelatable. So I counter with: Why do you need to empathize with your villains? Why do you need evil to "not be that bad?"
Wise Roxane is extremely wise.
Social media created this nonsense idea that not exposing yourself to hatred is isolationist. Choosing to not spend your free time with bigots isnβt living in a bubble. I donβt need to know whatβs going on at X. I wonβt be smarter or more knowledgeable or empathic by being there. Neither will you.
Distractions from existential dread. What's your go to?
This aged poorly. It's only been a Day! *faceplant*
It is exhausting that we've all been trained the way we use tools to help us keep track means there's something "wrong" with us. That way lies a lot of hurt.
"Hey Monica, how's the writing coming along?"
"Good, good. Writing is cathartic and fun. I accidentally blew up the Earth before the end of Chapter 1."
"Did you mean to--"
"Nope! I..." *pauses* "Ahem. Absolutely. All part of the plan."
*whispers off-screen* "There's no plan. Just having fun."
what did I just read
