They just keep digging themselves in deeper and deeper with no off ramp.

Hey @politico.com this should be your lead story, currently buried on your homepage as story #9!
Post WWII, by guaranteeing Western Europeβs defence, the U.S. kept the peace. Centuries of conflict yielded to co-operation and the formation of the EU. Do we really want to turn back the clock?
Even some of Trumpβs loudest critics begrudgingly acknowledged that bullying NATO members to pay more for their defense was a good thing. Not so fast! In the 90s I recall reading an Economist piece that asked the question: Would we really be comfortable with a remilitarized Germany on the Continent?
Shhhβ¦
Had to laugh when I read this. But, why not? Catnip for his supporters!
When Trump was elected in 2016, I read a piece about Melaniaβs Instagram account, which had recently been deleted. She had posted pictures all taken from the back seat of a car: driving through Central Park, driving to a golf course (Trump & Barron in front), etc. Sad, solitary existence.
Just wait βtill he gets his hands on Cuba
So-called βgift linkβ article is behind a paywall.
1. This is probably why so many of the experienced Federal prosecutors in the Minnesota DOJ office resignedβthey donβt want to bring these cases
2. This is what happens when most of your experienced prosecutors resignβno oneβs left who knows what a prosecutable offense looks like
Like LBJβs scar was the shape of Vietnam?
βThank you for your attention to this matterβ β doesnβt look like Canada has to do anything except *not* participate in thie charade.
βA little bitβ?!?
I just wish they would accurately report how rambling and unhinged his latest βspeechesβ have been. His attention span gets shorter and shorterβhe canβt make a point without a segway to his grievances. His rambling address to the nation on the Venezuela invasion/kidnapping is a perfect example.
Sheβs not there to win ratings. Sheβs the to do the Ellisonsβ bidding. So far, so good (from their perspective).
The GOP tried this in the 1970s: www.washingtonpost.com/archive/poli...
Most of the other Nobel Prizes are awarded years after the recipientsβ actions that qualify them for consideration. That lapse in time helps provide the committee with some needed perspective. The Peace Prize would benefit greatly from the same practice.
Will they please stop running Noemβs taxpayer-funded campaign ads?!?
That would be news!
Why arenβt the rest of the Dem governors joining Walz in condemning this? Solidarity is the only way to combat Trumpβs actions and threats.
Demβs should come out forcefully pledging to give Greenland back to Denmark if they win the White House in 2028. Put GOP Senators on notice that their support for this nonsense will be a total waste of time and effort. It would also go a long way to repairing relations with the EU.
You're not wrong, but that split-screen will never appear on Fox, OAN, the WSJ, etc.
Sexual dysfunction?
For the lawyers on BSKY: Could there be a class action lawsuit representing American citizens wrongfully detained by ICE seeking to enjoin them in a consent decree preventing them from detaining people without probable cause? Is anyone working on something like this?
Heβs running for President
Agree. Theyβre not even trying to make the CBS News division profitable.
@sfcpoll.bsky.social Weβll see how long that policy lasts
If we had a more adversarial news media, like they do in Britain and Ireland, Stephanopolis would have followed up:
S: Were there military forces involved in this so called βpolice action.β
R: Well, yes, butβ¦
S: Were air force helicopters, missiles, and other military weapons involved?
R: Yes, butβ¦
Also, what happened to fact-checking his speeches? He told so many lies. It took moments on bsky for people to point out DCβs murder rate wasnβt zero. He politicized the speechβPresidents used to be heavily criticized for politicizing an address to the nation after an act of war.
Trumpβs address to the nation/press conference was a rambling mess. He kept going off on tangents trying to score political points. His justification for the invasion came late in the speech after heβd stepped on his own toes. Expected the NYTimes to lead with: In a rambling speech to the nation, β¦β
