Today, Milo Rau, Artistic Director of the Vienna Festival (Wiener Festwochen), encouraged EU Commissioner for Culture, Glenn Micallef, to consider a European Artistic Freedom Act to protect #artisticfreedom across Europe’s cultural sector.
We also welcome the EC's aim to enhance clarity on visa processing and its commitment to exploring EU-level solutions for extended short stays for selected categories.
This initiative represents an important opportunity to align migration tools with the realities of cultural work.
