Smoke from #vicfires and southerly winds are causing poor to very poor air quality across several regions.

Poor:
Wimmera Horsham area, Central Victoria including Melbourne CBD

Very poor:
Mallee Ouyen, Red Cliffs, Mildura, Bendigo, Echuca, Bright, Myrtleford, Beechworth.

@tfyoung.bsky.social I got a response from the team.

We are going to issue a notice. This means they need to use someone qualified to clean up the fire water. And we will investigate the cause of the fire and any breaches of the law.

We attended to assist with Fire Rescue Victoria. I’ll ask the team to provide updates on what they find.

The good news is the fire is under control with Melbourne water onsite to manage the waterway.
