I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.

an elderly eredar mage in battle robes floats in an abstract space next to a fel hound, both apparently in zero gravity. the eredar is smiling down at the beast while he manipulates various runes and mana screens, and the fel hound flails after a trailing orb of shadow magic to eat it. The mood is bright, sparkly, and lighthearted.
Trying desperately to find my spark again, so I drew what creates joy. Figured I'd go back to basics & draw something whimsical! Sometimes u gotta bring your weird dog into a mana tank & let him chase around some shadow magic for enrichment

Remember how in BFA, two of our main villains from Kul Tiras were Lady Ashvane and Harlan Sweet? How, despite the Kul Tiran allied race body types, the majority of our main KT cast were of the "normal" body type instead? Yeah, I still take offense to that.
