Thanks for being there!

I complain about (in)accessibility & bad customer support. Helping devs achieve fluency at exercism.org. Building complex software at delftsolutions.nl. On the spectrum. Cancer Survivor (x3) π¨π½β𦽠@sleeplessbyte / @LookingForAmy almost everywhere
Thanks for being there!
It's okay. There's much wrong with me too ;)
Hey that's me!
If they actually cared deeply they'd all resign.
This group of people, their actions, and everything that has come after is about the worst thing that has happened for our community in quite a while.
As far as I am concerned this can burn to the ground and die.
Just wanna read how I did it?

Thank you for all the well pointed comments on the current issue in our community, and thanks for the workshop at the conf!

βWith the recent increase of supply chain attacks we decided to do one of our ownβ
There isn't a single apology or even recognition of bad decisions. Once again the generic "we need to move forward" bullshit.
So yeah, that taste will remain for the foreseeable future.
Accessibility isn't a feature.
Something that's not accessible is unusable and that should be a major programming mistake, also known as bug.
I stopped using BlueSky because of this. 13/15 issues (I stopped reporting after that) are still open, nothing marked as planned. One of the closed issues was silently reverted without any response from the developer who did that why they did that.
Sure-fire way to make people feel second class.
Wouldn't it make more sense to register euruko.org instead?

In the past 6 months, 2 issues have been closed (resolved). One by someone from the staff. The other one has silently been reverted by @hailey.at with no explanation or follow up. The fix is no longer live. See also: github.com/bluesky-soci...
4 months in. Same story.
It's now part of my first use process to completely remove all copilot shit.
That and the shit move where they increase everyone's office 365 subscription price to have access to copilot with a pretty difficult path to downgrade...
PSA
Using Office 365? Microsoft with automatically "upgrade" you to an expensive plan including CoPilot horseshit. Follow this guide to downgrade (yes, you can only downgrade via Cancel subscription). For family plans you will save ~30+ EUR/year.

Origin story! Oil cake/oliebol became the donut/doughnut!
It is extremely obvious that whomever handled my support requests did not even attempt to reproduce any of the issues as I've been asked to make a screenrecording "if the issue still persists". The only issues they noted for "future improvements" have already been fixed weeks ago.
What's the point?
It's now the 22nd of December. I just received a "response" to all the other support requests I made.
The response ranges from "your feedback is valuable" to a proverbial please go fuck yourself. Accessibility issues are not "nice suggestions to track". Generic responses after 1 month are not okay
Guess what.
The support requests about not being able to use the site from over 1 month ago reported via Zendesk just got a generic "can you check if this still an issue" response.
Imagine relying on that support.
That said, if github.com/ariatype/ari... is unioned with the HTMLAttributes thing, ya should be there?
We can. It's quite a bit of work though, because you should NOT at `role` to elements that have a default role (unless you want to overwrite it). So it's not a "role should be there", but it's "the computed role should be x"
We're almost hitting 4 weeks.
None of the other 13 have been updated, touched, solved, or interacted with.
14. It's more than I expected as European :')
More & more politics in my discover feed, and a lot of it is opinions mixed with facts. Oh oh oh...
