Great small change which makes a lot of difference.

Next up is the inspection of complex structures like dictionaries and array of resources… which right is extremely confusing imo.

I am just exploring at this stage. I really want to make an extraction shooter game… at the beginning I was going with a pixelart style, but I am pretty sure I will go with a 3d approach mid poly, kind of Vein or Stalker styles.

Why every survival game I see has zombies?

Let’s take a look at Ardem:

- Started low-poly
- Started with robots as enemies

3 years later:

- Ditched low-poly for usual Dayz/Vein textures
- Ditched robots for zombies

Eventually they all look like Dayz.

My take is that they just wanted to make sure to attract the survival audience.. which is totally fine.. if I were to make a survival game I would probably go with zombies as well… it is just a bit sad that all survival games want to be DayZ.
