Theatre history: The Era, the newspaper in which the advert is placed, was a popular trade newspaper in the 1930s to the theatre and entertainment industry. The Stage also was around at the time and still exists today but seeing I bring back lost theatres in my books, why not a lost newspaper too?
π Murder at the Matinee starts when a mysterious newspaper advertisement appears.
A few weeks ago I got the news that Murder at the Matinee was shortlisted for the inaugural Whodunnit Dagger at this yearβs @thecwa.bsky.social awards. In a week or two from now, weβll know who the winner is!

Absolutely loved A QUEER CASE from Robert Holtom which is coming out 3rd June β€οΈ
In the novel, the queer world of 1920s London is wonderfully evoked and the murder mystery contained is twisty and brilliant!
