This is the third attack in the county that Koehler has been charged with. He was convicted in the first case and is getting ready to stand trial for a second. He also has six pending charges in Broward County.

He ambushed a 19-year-old woman while she was in bed, dragged her into another room where he raped her, then bound her with a telephone cord and robbed her of $60. /more
The charges, filed last week, allege that at 10:45 p.m. on Feb. 5, 1985, during the height of the Pillowcase Rapist's attacks, Koehler used a ladder to climb into the second-floor window of an apartment in Pinecrest in southern Dade County. /more

DNA taken from Robert Eugene Koehler matched samples taken from an attack that took place more than 40 years ago. /more
