welcome to the party, the grafana dashboards have been patiently waiting for you
jokes on them, humans have been shoveling out useless bloatware long before LLMs were even a thing
i got claude to bash out a file format parser for me and it works like a charm.
i have no serious investment in learning the format but i needed it done and it delivered.
our work laptops come with VPN service that we can use to access on-prem resources and it's so bad at interfering with a lot of other stuff that we have a dedicated kill-script to turn it off and prevent it from auto-starting again
> hey, let's re-write our entire infra stack
> sure why not, nothing bad will possibly happen
lad just loves spouting words than end in '-arco'
blizzard cooked with the Midnight soundtrack (especially Aln'Hara)

i became a software engineer because i like building things and using my brain.
Agentic LLMs that do all that just takes the fun out of the job I want to do and just outsources critical thinking skills.
like you say, great for learning concepts quickly and brainstorming ideas though

dude's been sundowning so long you'd think he lived near the arctic circle in the summer
we have a "global reputation" to consider!
jealous!
i have a library that i want to write doc comments for to give more context on the types we've defined but we're not allowed to touch stuff like Claude w/o proper training and just-cause stuff etc etc...
apparently they try to agitate the water so they can see the ripples and don't get their nose wet!
my cat does it to a bucket outside
a long weekend in a cabin in the woods is good for the soul
absolutely barbaric!
man smoking a cigarette looking downwards rather intensely
a red squirrel at a bird feeder
wee dude
owls are just cat software running on bird hardware
they've been saying that line for years and i've yet to see any game-changer apps come out
in fact, the quality of existing apps has went down since the LLMs really took off
PRISTINE
i use it for better documentation when the docs on some library suck ass
i don't like agents though, takes the fun right out of implementing a feature
unless i need it quick and it's faster to use them than writing it myself
my personal favourite: π
hell yeah
back in my day we didn't type our scripts, we java'd our scripts
can't beat a good Dyson
wonder how long the WH will attempt to cover it upβ¦
reminds me of when my grandfather had dementia and would talk about stuff that didnβt happen
he died within a year of that
donβt think trump has long left in this world
when in doubt, Arc<Mutex<T>>
or, according to AI, Arc<Mutex<T, U, V>>
we're not allowed to use it on our work stuff yet
i'm 100% convinced it would just self-immolate if it saw our legacy repos though
