The NYC Ferry has suspended service due to the winter storm.
 
The Staten Island Ferry will move to hourly service at 12:00 p.m., departing from St. George on the hour and Whitehall on the half hour. It will continue to operate on that schedule as long as visibility conditions allow.

As dangerously cold temperatures move through New York, we have opened 10 warming centers across all five boroughs to provide safe, heated indoor spaces for New Yorkers in need.

It was an honor to visit the picket line with @sanders.senate.gov and demand a fair contract for NYSNA nurses so they can get back to work.

When New Yorkers look to government, they want to see public servants fixing their problems - not masked agents hiding their faces in shame. City Hall will work tirelessly to improve New Yorkers' lives, and we will protect our neighbors from ICE's campaign of violence and fear.

Yesterday, we hosted a watch party for the Africa Cup of Nations final at Surrogate’s Court near City Hall. Fans of all ages packed the room — the energy was incredible. It may have been Senegal and Morocco playing, but it was NYC through it all.

The good news? We’re winning universal childcare faster than anyone expected. The bad news? Ms. Rachel and I have to find some new song inspiration…

I am proud to appoint Tricia Shimamura as NYC's new Parks Commissioner today. Tricia has spent her career in public service fighting for working people, most recently as Manhattan Borough Parks Commissioner. In a city where almost everything costs something, our parks belong to everyone.

More public restrooms across our city?

This will require A&E to not only pay restitution, but it will impose injunctions preventing them from harassing their tenants and compel them to correct thousands of code violations. As we've promised before, if landlords do not step up to maintain your home, the city government will step in.

City government has real power to protect the millions of tenants across our city. Today, we announced that New York has come to a settlement with A&E Real Estate, one of the largest rent stabilized landlords in the City.

Today, we welcomed nearly 100 new sanitation workers to the ranks of New York's Strongest.

Together, this class represents the city they serve — waking up early and staying up late to keep our streets clean, the snow plowed, and deliver the excellence New York City deserves.

Today, a case was filed on behalf of the City of New York to get our city’s delivery workers the money they are owed.

For too long, companies like Motoclick stole tips from delivery workers and ignored the minimum pay rate law. Under our administration, they won’t get away with it any longer.
