Also met Herb Elliott (lovely), Rob Scott (in his zoot suit 👀) and other Olympians in Sydney. I escorted Seb Coe (smiling, shorter than I thought and deep in thought) in the lift when pitching for the Olympics in London.

My favourite was chatting to David Soul. Celebrating finding a flat to rent in Maida Vale, London, we ended up sitting next to him at the pub. Lots of chat, we shared rounds and he gave us tips on his favourite places in the area! Lovely guy! I often knocked into into Paul Weller too-no beers.

Frank Lowy used to say hello and chat in the lift at his HQ. Smiling and quiet, keen to know what we did. (That’s when he chose not to go into his personal lift!)
