Probably yes. But everyone is fine? and it's got queer romance? It's good. But also, yes.

Call your City Council Members to demand they pass PAUSE EVICTIONS, SAVE LIVES! The wards in pink need EXTRA PRESSURE. Map of Minneapolis Wards with Ward 3, 4, 5, 7, 11, and 13 highlighted in pink.
If you are in Mpls Ward 3, 4, 5, 7, 11, or 13, extra pressure is needed on your councilmember. Call or email today and urge them to pass Pause Evictions, Save Lives tomorrow at the full council meeting.
As a fellow Ward 8 resident I was also very confused. I apparently need to read text as well as maps. Sounds like More Neighbors is working on a new graphic tho.
I honestly didn't notice the "aunt in kingfield" part bc my brain defaults to maps so dang much that I was just looking at which parts were what color. I'll go bug folks. Thanks for catching that!
Ahhhhhh! thank you.
I think you're maybe reading it wrong? It seems be be based on the current ward map, but since Ward 8 straddles 35W which is lightly marked on this map, it looks odd.

Awoo wednesday is back!
Welcome to the club.
I want to thank everyone who came out to todayβs hearing on Pause Evictions, Save Lives, an ordinance to temporarily extend the eviction notice period from 30 to 60 days in response to Operation Metro Surge.
Tomorrow City Council will be taking up βPause Evictions, Save Livesβ to temporarily increase the notice for eviction to 60 days to give families an extra month to make rent.
This buys us time for rent assistance to be distributed and to continue to pressure Gov Walz for an eviction moratorium.
Jayme Lawson from Sinners hit the nail on the head and said how I felt with the whole BAFTAs situation.
Thereβs an increase of activity at the Whipple building today. 50-60+ vehicles have been reported to exist the Whipple building. We need community to be on alert and for neighbors to observe and patrol. Thank you for everyone that continues to support our immigrant neighbors.

π¨ Action Alert π¨ We need you to tell the MN House to say βYes to Homes!β π Contact the committee: actionnetwork.org/letters/hous...
Let legislators know that you support the Starter Home Act, which allows more homes in a range of types and sizes to be built across MN.
Just got a message from South High saying βWe currently have requests totaling $33,965 for rent and we have $7500 available tomorrow. Please try to share the gofundme widely! Thanksβ
Well, that simply will not do. I'll match the first $900. Please help my fellow South High families if you can! π€π§‘π€

Our latest blog post is taking us back to Econ 101. Read about how supply and demand are keeping housing prices high, and how legalizing more homes can make homes more affordable for everyone.

Man, I just really love @aishagomez.bsky.social. Yeah.
A quilt showing three people riding bikes in the snow. It's wrapped around a lamp post in downtown Saint Paul.

Eight years ago I made a lamp post cozy and dedicated it to winter cyclists. A lot has changed since then but I still think y'all are awesome.
Love to Our Streets, but they do not have a defensible trademark. Their application was abandoned after appeal.

We keep us housed. We keep us fed. We keep us safe.
50 units and no parking requirements⦠you absolutely love to see it
Me next year if the Yes to Homes bill dies this year.
This legislation in IL moves the needle significantly towards walkable complete neighborhoods where you can go to a corner store and the store can thrive.
We generally need about 20 homes/acre for walkable neighborhoods that can support a local bus. This bill allows about 17->69 (nice) homes/acre.
So, basically 75%, and more, of most cities in the US do not allow more than one home per lot. Many require 1-2 football fields/home (40-80k sq ft). On sewer, often 10K+ sq ft/home
See the National Zoning atlas for more info on different localities.
Thereβs a lot to love in Pritzkerβs βBuilding Up Illinois Developmentsβ (BUILD) plan!
ADUs allowed statewide ποΈ
Up to eight homes on large residential lots π
Middle Housing exempt from parking mandates π

Standardized impact fees & review timelines π°

The one thing I really miss about DC is the metro
valentine's day isn't just for couples, it's also a day to celebrate love. for instance, i would love it if housing prices came down.
