We'd love to. It's up to SNK.
.@SNKPofficial kept us even busier this year. A mere 2 weeks after #RB2's debut, we're excited to share even more retro goodness: #Kizuna Encounter debuted at #EvoFrance2025 today! This is a NeoGeo first: it's 2v2 tag-team with online multiplayer. Or play 2P coop online! Enjoy!
A new update to #RB2 today...
Our spirit is retro, but we adapt. In the era of AI, we need to be careful with art we incorporate. Going forward, no stock art will be included in our drafts, so it won't sneak into release. We'll also retain steps of our in-house process. Tks for the critique. We're listening.
New #RB2 patch released on Steam:

It fixes desyncs associated with private lobbies capped at 2 players where a player joins by invite, fixes some language issues, plus adds Shinkiro's awesome new key art (seen at the launch reveal) to the Gallery!
It was meant in jest, alluding to an internal idea of making time-lapse desktop recordings of asset creation, but impractical to do with every single asset we generate. We could do it selectively, but if someone had questions about 1 we didn't select, it wouldn't help. Sorry for how it came across.
Please don't read that cynically. It is a reality that non-AI art can be incorrectly suspected of being AI (false positives). So it's not enough to not have AI in work. We have to retain additional WIP records to demonstrate the creative process. These are steps to help address doubt or "questions."
Bug fixes for #RB2

Our contention is "Layer 50 copy" is the source B&W cloud image. As the artist explains: 1. scaled up, 2. "Group 3" copied to "Group 3 copy", 3. then "Group 3" was coloured. He absolutely couldn't have created this in response to "cover his tracks" since it was archived before any issues were raised
We are asking as part of our internal review. To help us understand your POV, is it your opinion the B&W draft layer contains what you believe to be signs of AI also, or just the colour layer? We want to avoid these Qs going fwd, and fear that focusing on the dominant criticisms will miss something.
We want to assure all we're not dismissing your criticism. It's Monday, everyone's back. We're having detailed discussions, not to accuse but understand. Our artist insists no genAI used & offered explanations. Regardless, we're contemplating steps to avoid questions in the future.
That was Sunday night. Monday now: we're indeed having internal discussions, not to accuse but to understand. Doubt critics will be happy w/explanations (e.g. artist was told cab shouldn't be a recognisable brand, leading to it being whacky), but we do want to ensure no more accusations going fwd.
We are listening & having internal discussions to review the process. For the clouds in particular, the artist explains that the sharpen tool was used on the low-res B&W draft (which is in the PSD too) and then painted over. We believe this accounts for the defect you are pointing out. Do you agree?
A new feature in RB2 is the ability to use icons as avatars in leaderboards & online. The intent was to give people unique icons for bragging rights when unlocking achievements. Reusing any images from the Gallery would mean they looked no different than what people had access to "out of the box."
Quite sure. We're open to suggestions what evidence would be acceptance that we're telling the truth? Sadly for this discussion, but happily for our employees, there is not surveillance footage of the entire asset creation process, but we saw the WIP process, so we're confident.
We only cited the short timeline to explain how the mirrored image was missed. The freestyle is because the details were done by hand, as a style. As Tony said, he doesn't need AI to help draw circles or crosshatch shadows. π Sorry some people don't like it or believe it was intentional.
Unfortunately, we are not privy to that decision process.
It does not.
Ask away. :) We didn't "force" crunch time on the artist. There was originally another plan for the achievements, but late in dev it changed and Tony asked to take it on and wanted to do something stylised (a "loose" comic book style), but there was limited time. He didn't have to, but he wanted to.
We're horrified to see misinformation suspecting AI art in our recent #RB2 release. We respect hard-working artists & are adamantly opposed to AI-generate assets. As a token of good faith, we've shared our working PSDs for a couple achievements. See steamcommunity.com/app/3359900/...
We are horrified (and our artist personally offended) that anyone would think this... we absolutely do NOT use AI to generate images. Just to leave no room for doubt, here's a Drive link to the raw PSDs where these images were manually drawn. Some layers remain: drive.google.com/file/d/199HR...
We do Xbox titles (e.g. Killer Instinct Classic). The choice of platforms is up to SNK. The more people who let them know they want it, the better the chances they'll let us do it.
SNK made us keep a secret, but now that the cat's out of the bag courtesy of #TGS2025, it's time to share: Real Bout Fatal Fury 2: The Newcomers is coming to Steam with our acclaimed rollback online multiplayer, and many more unique features! This weekend! youtu.be/1IDoc63olf4
You'd have to start through public channels, but perhaps their social media is a place to start?
It's not ours to give. You'll have to talk to Microsoft. Though we'll be happy to put it on Steam ourselves if they ask.
There should be none. Shortcuts are just an automatic part of the GOG install process.
The only chance of corrupting the save is to reset exactly when a save is happening. That's usually manually triggered in each individual game, or clearly announced. No saving occurs during the boot process.
It remembers where you left off, as if the NGPC was never turned off. Select "Reset" on the pause menu to play the intro again. Alternatively, you can make your own batch file to delete the "~snapshot*.bin" files in the "Data" directory under the installation directory and then launch the .EXE.
