An image reading: "It's extremely hard to put any words down right now. Too many emotions, to much going on in my head but I want to try. My initial post was just made in pure shock and I want to put more words to it if I can. I spent 13 years at a single company, a gaming company, when the whole industry fell apart around us. I always felt like we were safe and that we had the plans in place to keep us from these things...or that's how it always seemed. I know this sort of run at any company in such a volatile industry is something to be proud of and I worked hard to keep it. Really hard. I came from the brink of nearly quitting from burnout to pushing out some cult classic games with massive community love over the years and that is something that I am truly proud of. I had a hand in getting 13 games out into the world in my time at the company. 6 of them in the last 3 years alone. It all started from a random chance offer that I drove 6 hours from NC to attend and got in a car accident 15 min before my interview, all the way up through the ranks from Tester, to Senior, to Lead and finally to Principal in this time. I have worked along side so many of the best people in the industry and learned so much from them over all of these years. Many of them were a part of this layoff and I can only hope that we can all bounce back and find something soon and continue to do amazing things. All in all, I am still in shock. I am hurt. I feel that we were all blindsided by this whole thing given how things always appeared. I feel like there had to be other options that could have been taken but I will move on because there is no other option. There is nothing I can do about it now. I will do whatever I have to, to keep doing the things that I love. In the end, it's all I know. "

Sadly I dont. I wish I did but everything i do now costs money that isn't getting replenished. Even my cards are maxed cuz of unforseen house issues recently. I'd love to just get away now. Be anywhere but in my own head.
Pretty deep into the spiral already unfortunately. Hard to get out of my own head when I had so much riding on a stable job. House, medical stuff and insurance...so much...
I have no idea what I would even be able to do with those things, at least right now. They should be but I retained nothing that was said from the meeting due to shock so I dont remember any details.
