How likely is it for many people to think that the writing they do for your videogame world would be much better delivered as a book?
If one happens to do so, would that help the game that would tie with it in the future?

VPS is a virtual private server. You rent a machine with CPU and some disk space, where you install perforce where it keeps the files, and operates hosting procedures. Think of VPS as second PC you want to use as a server, but I rent one in cloud from other company.

I use perforce via my VPS with enough storage. You can use it for free with up to 5 people, but once you exceed this amount of users you'll require to pay the license.

Either Perforce for small scale, or stick to Git solutions albeit at a cost the more traffic you take on GitHub or other providers.

At this point Discord should look at Valve and see how credit card information, and pinging your bank for "Yea, this person is of this age and we confirm" token is much better approach than invasive scans.

So you are not able to use it for renders, its only a viewport QOL if that makes sense.

Just instantiate your stuff so you won't really need it.

DLSS in Blender is a huge gamechanger. A bit costy on Utilization but that depends on how heavily you use it while bandwidth is free enough to keep filling it up more and more.

It was an issue to compile properly from main git of Blender with 5.1 but hey, it works

I have had several clients with which I had to discuss with them how laying our fundamentals with "slop" code only hurts production phase - they still went to production. Then, they asked to refactor on last month, no documentation, only reflection legacy slop with new code.

If I don't finish the prototype for my own game, then maybe that wouldn't be a great selling point of my skills and experience, so thats something I am going to push this year a lot more. I am too obsessed with GDD refinements and laying out plans of the infrastructure to make it small team friendly

I am a huge fan of Federated networks like Mastodon's, and thats what Fluxer demonstrated in roadmap. On top of that, yes, you can host your own backend to keep your embeds/chats separated from Fluxer's main nodes, but still keep them accessible (their docs are in progress for self-hosting measures)

I have checked out discord alternatives throughout last week, and I came across Fluxer thanks to my buddy who gave light on it.

I decided to also host a server for #ProjectVerocity there, which is still WIP in construction (no server templates import), but I think crossposting is best!

I worked on my own Matrix server and trying out various clients available that could help me keep everything that matters in a server, while keeping Discord and such as means to communicate with me casually, but I just love how Matrix has federated system.

I can even do funny gif emotes
