Weird that the Mariners have given up three touchdowns today, but good on them for blocking an extra point I guess

So, in English: Noem is fired and will be demoted to running point on Trump's spin on the Monroe Doctrine, where he's going to try and keep Latin American countries from building relationships with China.
A LWV member in Hawthorne, CA (one of the first women admitted to the bar in Los Angeles County), will not be able to vote if the SAVE act is passed. π§΅
Iβm not familiar with that case as much as I am Kobe Bryantβs, where the witness was absolutely berated and had her identity leaked so as to intimidate her away.
If I remember right, he was first arrested in the early 2000s and ended up acquitted after the victim refused to testify.
Dozens of FBI witness interviews from the investigation of Jeffrey Epstein appear to be missing from the files released by the Department of Justice last month, according to a CNN review β including interviews related to a woman who accused President Trump of sexually assaulting her decades ago.
Hey folks, @jdmendez.com is at the Shoreline City Council meeting tonight! A few interesting matters are on the agenda this evening, including a resolution on the city's response to federal immigration agents in Shoreline and discussion on speed cameras in school zones.
I am a fan of both the Phoenix Suns and the Seattle Mariners, so this is my lot in life.
Super Bowl viewers Sunday speculated that 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos appeared in the halftime show. In fact, he has been in hiding with his family.
βHe canβt sleep well at night. He wakes up three or four times a night screaming, βDaddy, Daddy,ββ Liam's father Adrian Conejo Arias, said.
Meeting wrapped immediately after discussion ended on the study item, so Iβve been chatting with folks since.
Unclear if the council will move forward with the model resolution β they certainly didnβt refer anything to staff at the end of the meeting.
Reading the tea leaves, looks like both are going to get approved alongside the other four amendments, which were brought forward by city staff.
...In fact, it looks like they'll all be on the consent calendar at the next meeting, the generally administrative list of things adopted in a single vote.
Public comment is over, and the council is now onto Study Items: specifically, looking at the amendments to the city's comprehensive plan.
The only two amendments at question are the amendments 5 and 6, the zoning matter and the neighborhood greenways matter.
Mayor Robertson said that this evening's comments were "inspiring," which basically is the extent of what she could say at this meeting.
It's thus far unclear if the council will direct staff to review the resolution.
One person who explained that he was fired from Nordstrom for confronting "fascists provocateurs," and says that the proposed resolution is "extremely milquetoast," and it's a starting point.
Many folks urging the city council to "rise up and rise to the challenge" to combine the "level of crazy" in the United States.
Clapping has evolved to snapping!
One resident mentioned that he knows two men, day laborers, who were detained and deported by ICE agents at the local Home Depot on 205th Street.
He said that he's lived in Shoreline for a long time, and that over the years, the complexion of the city has changed. That, he said, is a good thing.
The mayor asked folks to NOT applaud after comments, which folks are maliciously complying with, with just a few βΒ one or two β loud claps.
"Instead of talking about our pets or the neighborhood raccoons like we usually do, we talked about Ivan Guzman," said one resident, who asked the council to adopt a model resolution supporting @waisn.bsky.social's 2026-'27 legislative platform. The Council is due to study the Docket tonight, which includes an updated Surface Water Master Plan; a citizen-initiated amendment to add a Neighborhood Greenways program to the city's Transportation Element; and a citizen-initiated amendment to change zoning on 11th Ave NW. Essentially, downzoning.
First off, quite a few folks are speaking about an item on the Comprehensive Plan Docket, a list of addendums to the city's existing Comprehensive Plan, adopted in 2024. Most so far have been talking about rezoning a stretch of road in Richmond Beach. www.shorelinewa.gov/government/d...
As well as @seattletimes.com (with a goddamn exceptional story by @cata.bsky.social)

For reference, a few outlets have covered the detention of a father so far, including @hannahkrieg.bsky.social's The Burner www.theburnerseattle.com/post/ice-abd...
There are 21 comments tonight! First, it looks like there are a few folks talking on agenda items, then we're getting into off-agenda matters β in this case, presumably ICE.
Hey folks, tonight we're at Shoreline City Council, where there's a pretty full house.
Based on the list of public comments sent into the council, we're in for a lot of comments on the city's policies related to ICE.
As you might remember, federal agents have already detained folks in Shoreline.
OK "god bless america" and then naming every country in the americas from south to north is absolute king shit
Kind of gives away the whole game that all the crypto ads this year have been replaced with gambling and AI ads.
βThe only thing more powerful than hate is love.β
MAGA wanted you to boycott this.
Anyone else moved by the halftime show? That ending, the shoutouts across the Americas, got me.
