Four panel fan comic in which Batgirl shows up out of nowhere to cover Supergirl with a hug to let her know how much she brightens each of her days. A rare sudden eclipse if you will, but a really nice one.

Absolutely not.
Also, does Twinings still sell a knockoff Soderte in Sweden? That absolutely blew my mind when I saw it.
(It tastes terrible, but still...so weird!)
Artists- life is so much calmer if you stop comparing your work to others. Same goes with careers and wee internet art groups, the whole thing. Fuckit. Do stuff for you. Never show anyone most of it. Youβll improve your mental art health a lot. Even just for a bit.
Same! If you have books behind you on Zoom, you better believe I'm scanning to see what I can learn about you as a person.
How about million dollar comic books? Any of them?
All the books from my library, temporarily in the mancave
I'm truly exhausted, but I have successfully managed to completely de-book my library.
Of course, once the painters are done, I'm gonna have to bring everything back up. That ain't gonna be any fun.
Worth every penny. And so much more.
Slay the Spire II downloading!
FINALLY.
As well it should be! They really want to take my money.
A Steam error message "Something Went Wrong"
Apparently the one-two punch of Marathon and Slay the Spire II is overloading Steam's payment server.
Annoying, but also...kinda cool? Yay for new releases!
Books!
Nothing but books as far as the eye can see.
A whole lot of books on the floor in front of some arcade cabinets
As the painters get closer to that part of the house, I've been moving books out of the library and into the mancave.
It's just a sea of books down here now.
Dammit. I thought maybe it unlocked early.
Oh wow. The National Videogame Museum (in Frisco, just around the corner from GBX HQ!) has acquired the only known intact Nintendo PlayStation dev kit.

I do wonder if I'll ever get it back.
Cat, content, having taken over the library.
Cat is far too happy about the fact that her things have been consolidated into my library while we paint the rest of the house.
[JOHN] But Hal, I can't. I'm...afraid.
[HAL SLAPS JOHN ACROSS THE FACE. HARD.]
[HAL] What kind of Lantern are you? Only thing worse than being a coward is being Yellow.
[Sam Elliot voice] This here is a story about men. Real men. Manly men. LANTERN men.
Taylor Sheridan presents...LANTERNS.

It's very unsettling when I see a remaster announced for a game that's been on my backlog since release.
Wish I could say that's only happened once.
Cat hiding under chair. She's not happy.
Cat is not thrilled that we're having the house painted this week.
Fake Xerox and real piano wire. Gorillazβs new video for βThe Mountainβ rebuilds a 1950s animation pipeline using painted backgrounds, optical tricks, and strict self-imposed limits. www.cartoonbrew.com/music-videos...
I love this! I showed it to my dad (now age 94) and he was thrilled and amazed to see the music he composed in 1989 interpreted in this way.πβ€οΈ
1908: the Lancet, one of the most respected scientific journals, calls for 18 age limit on reading in bed amidst a moral panic surrounding children becoming "addicted" to novels, which were "designed to keep kids hooked" and destroy their attention/mental health
Apparently Slay the Spire II early access doesn't go live until Thursday this week.
I thought it was today. π’
Being able to ask Clive Barker about what I assumed was a local NYC legend (which turned out to be true!) made that interview one of the high points of my life.

I love Clive Barker's Undying, and have nothing but fond memories of it. Both because of it as a game, and because it gave me the once-in-a-lifetime chance to interview Clive Barker.

Our house is being painted this week, so I worked out of the mancave all day.
The chairs down there are comfortable, but I miss my standing desk! My back definitely does.
