If you were to teleport even a few inches in any direction, your body would be embedded in a solid object. One inch, you're wounded. Two inches, you're maimed. Three inches, you're dead.
Every second of the day, we're all three inches from being dead.
Which is why teleportation is safe and effective only if it's between dedicated sites on an exactingly calibrated system.
Yeah, THIS is why you'd have to go somewhere to teleport to somewhere else. (From the novel "All Our Wrong Todays" by Elan Mastai)

A page from the St. Louis edition of TV Guide with "Sport Billy" at 11:30 A.M. on Channel 5 ("Debut: A six-part animated series about a boy sent to Earth from the planet Olympus to champion good sportsmanship.")
I found someone had scanned the entire July 31, 1982 TV Guide, and there it is - but 11:30 in the St. Louis edition means 12:30 Eastern, where a good number of NBC affiliates would have preempted it (including the one where I grew up).

The only reason I've ever heard of this is that I got a Sport Billy comic book as part of a kids' activity pack on British Airways in 1984. (Wikipedia claims it ran on NBC Saturday mornings in summer 1982, which I don't remember at all.)

Facing pages of TV Guide, showing listings for 9:00 P.M. to 11:30 P.M. on Sunday, August 13, 1967. "What's My Line?" is on CBS at 10:30 P.M. (Channel 6 Orlando, Channel 11 Fort Myers, Channel 13 Tampa). The episode description is "[COLOR] Actor Martin Gabel and TV personality Phyllis Newman join panelists Arlene Francis (Mrs. Gabel) and Bennett Cerf. John Daly is the host."
1960s TV schedules, too! This is four weeks before its final episode, but What's My Line? was still in that Sunday at 10:30 time slot. (All the episodes in August were taped in advance, but the final episode on September 3rd aired live.)

One of the first issues of Passenger Train Journal magazine I ever saw had a cover story about New Jersey commuter train cars that were being retired. This most recent issue has a cover story about their replacements, which are being retired.

A display of the A24 book of βThe Witch,β by Robert Eggers, which clearly shows the title, on the front cover and especially the spine, as βThe Witch,β not βThe VVitch,β the latter of which is an imitation of the fanciful typography used as the title on-screen in the film.
Look, people, stop spelling it with two Vβs.

I would guess, when you see this while watching streaming, itβs that for whatever reason (slow connection somewhere along the pipe or something like that), the ad server had trouble βfiguring outβ what ad itβs actually supposed to be showing you.

I was in Tampa for Christmas when that came out, and we took my 8-year-old niece, not paying enough attention to the PG-13 rating. She did NOT like the violence, and my sister ended up taking her out of the theater (fortunately in a mall, so there was other stuff to do).

What you sometimes see on cable is that individual cable systems are allowed to replace some national ads on cable channels with local spots, and their automated cues aren't always set up 100% correctly. (This has been an issue for decades!)

It doesn't happen on regular U.S. commercial TV, either, but weird things can occur when you're watching something via streaming rather than a more simple over-the-air or cable setup.
