an illustration for a weekly art challenge in a discord server, the prompt being "draw your OC with their ideal pet". fortunately for me, i already have something like this, so it gave me a good excuse to draw them! the illustration features my characters haven and poe in a dark yet lush forest setting, appearing to be in mid-action. haven looks back at poe, confident in her own ability and barely breaking a sweat. her knife glistens with blood from an unknown party. meanwhile, poe is flying into frame, elated to see such a sight -- it's unclear whether he is eyeing the bloodied knife or haven herself. eyes are sprouting all of over his body, which tends to happen when he's excited.
