Yep. I don't see him doing it though
This is coming. Starmer is not Sánchez. You may prefer him to Badenoch and Farage in this situation - who wouldn't? But he will fold and join this fuckery and already partly has:
www.theguardian.com/world/2026/m...
Not in the least surprised by this. Starmer 'standing up to Trump' was always theatre/sleight of hand, eliding the distinction between offensive/defensive.
He may not be Badenoch but he is closer to Merz than he is to Sánchez.
Sánchez saying what should be said. How much would I like to have leaders in this country who can talk like this
This is the kind of orientalist racist garbage that people like Niall Ferguson used to spout.
You don't have to love the Iranian regime to recognize that it is as capable of geopolitical decisions in what it perceives as its national interest as any other county.
If this is true, and with these clowns you can never be sure, it is almost beyond belief.
Incredible that the US did not stop Israel.
Equally incredible that Rubio offers this as some kind of explanation/justification.
?????? Sorry. But you're obviously an idiot and a bit slippery. Changing 'unlawful ' and 'illegal' to 'Trump fucked it up. ' Now accusing me of wanting to kill Br citizens😀😀😀😀
He hasn't. Emily Thornberry did. And this may come as a MASSIVE SHOCK to you, but Iran was in diplomatic relations with the US that were (reportedly) on the brink of success before Trump/Netanyahu sabotaged them.
When has he called it illegal?
Condemning and opposing a war is not 'letting them die'. No Br citizens have been killed. Lots of other people have. Lots more will be because of this illegal war of aggression which did not need to happen. And if this is your level of argument and understanding, I think we're done here.
British citizens are not being 'targeted'. They are in the line of fire in an illegal war of aggression which Starmer has not condemned. A brave and principled leader would recognise that war as the 'source' and call for an immediate end to it, not collude with it.
Starmer: Proves himself completely gutless and devoid of principle once again. Also displaying breathtaking cynicism and convoluted logic, in presenting offensive military operations as 'defensive' while taking his audience for fools.
A walking vacuum of a politician.
The cowardice and moral bankruptcy of the West laid bare once again. Faced with a brazenly illegal war of aggression, using diplomacy as a cover, these governments condemn... the country that was attacked for fighting back. So much for international law and the 'rule-based order.'
Congratulations to Hannah Spencer and the Greens. Fantastic result and thoroughly deserved.

The UK media discussion ought to be about why Bannon boasted about advising Farage & why Epstein supported Brexit. Now thanks to Labour’s political stupidity, lack of principle & determination to grovel to Trump, Starmer is the story.
All true. But the unforgivable fact is that Starmer has allowed this to happen through his cowardice, deference to the rich and powerful, and multiple political and moral failures.
In doing so he has paved the way for a Reform gov that will ruin this country & inflict havoc on a decaying society
