Obviously I don't know what was going through his head, but this makes me think there's at least a *chance* that he thought I was attractive in a purely feminine way, like "wow look at that pretty lady out walking her dog" and that's... new? And neat? And affirming?
It definitely caused me to reevaluate some assumptions; like, I know I'm attractive, but in a very clocky way. But this dude definitely came at me with some heteronormative assumptions (he said "boyfriend" not "partner" or whatever).
Yeah, if he had been gross or disrespectful or mean or anything, that would be one thing, but just politely showing interest was really just a confidence-booster. 😅 I don't have to be interested in someone to be flattered by their interest.
Haha, it wasn't even bad! Like, dude was totally chill and respectful; at no point did I feel threatened or pressured. Honestly kinda got the feeling he had been working up the courage to say something. And afterwards he wasn't mad or anything, just a bit disappointed. 😅
I kinda laughed a little and said, "I've got a wife." He was like "Oh..." and wandered off. 😅
So I cheerfully replied, "Thank you!" To which he replied, "Do you have a boyfriend?"
At first I thought he was just being nice; lots of strangers have been encouraging and positive about my transition, complimenting my skirt or whatever; it's almost always women, but I thought maybe I had finally run into a man doin the same thing.
So then the dude, from behind me (at a distance) was like, "Hey!" I acknowledged him and he said, "You look really good."
I was out walking our dog Eevee and had a bit of an awkward thing where I was trying to keep Eevee away from a dog she was pulling toward, but ended up kinda cutting off a dude on the sidewalk; I apologized and kept walking.
Today was the first time I've ever been hit on by a dude in real life and I really don't know how to feel about it. 😅

I know people complain about the lack of pockets in women's clothing, but honestly, moving from cargo pants to a purse has been a major upgrade.

Obviously there's lots of people of both genders who do neither, and just treat me normally, and that's cool too. But the ones who really feel strongly one way or the other stand out, and it's kinda cool.
Some women (and so far it is always women) look at me and their eyes light up, they smile, as if to say, "Look at you, being true to yourself, living your life the way you want! Good for you! You go girl!"
Meanwhile all the scowls and looks of disgust or confusion come from men.
Being obviously trans in public has unlocked a new superpower; I can immediately tell who the best allies are and who the bigots are. All without a word being spoken. It's like "detect good/evil" in D&D or whatever.
I've been doing mine for years before I even truly transitioned, and no, the compliments never get old.
I once had a nurse express disbelief that they were my real nails because they looked too perfect. ☺️ It was a great day.

I love waking up every morning, looking in the mirror, and taking in the subtle changes that 3 months of HRT have brought me. It's not much yet, but I can definitely tell.
It's especially delightful because I know that how I look now is the most masculine I'll ever look again.
This is what it would look like if LLMs could actually gain sentience.
