Even more fundamental for me is the question; What does it mean to be "ok" or not "ok" with parts of the personal history of a candidate for a state/district where you are not a resident and thus cannot cast a vote?

An homage to a panel from the Achewood web comic. Phillipe, a young and eager otter, who is wearing a shirt and tie and a helmet for some reason, is happily singing a song to himself as follows: Born... in the USA! I went to school and I got an... A! I ate a hamburger and said hooray! Maybe it will happen today! The final line is obviously my addition. The art was redrawn by me and is not just a copy of the original panel. Done in black lines and halftone shading on a toned paper background. You do not need to trouble Chris Onstad about this.
Is there a piece of legislation or something people should be advocating for to alleviate the imbalance?
They're going to write books about all the big brain moves of this gang of imbeciles and among them will be "Spending a year trying to kill renewable energy and then launching a war that sends oil prices soaring"

If I keep posting, eventually Maine primary voters will wise up
We really needed this rain
So many people are very aware that they have an audience, yet seem oblivious to the broad demographics of who is/n't in their core audience. Lots of scolding the people who follow them for not 'caring enough' with little direction on what actually they should do.
My thing is like; If you're that concerned then you need to be doing more than posting "I'm warning y'all about this one!" You will need to phone bank for the primary opponent, possibly even travel to the state of Maine to door knock. How many Maine primary voters do you think read your posts?

Honestly, this advice would unlock a lot of things for a lot of people I think.

Neighbors responded swiftly and the cowards exited the area immediately after confrontation. Still astonishing after all these weeks that there isn't even an attempt to *not* look exactly like the child kidnappers that they are. Less subtle than the predators *without* badges.
ICE hanging out next to the playground on my block in a literal white panel van.
A mural of a migrant and child on the side of BroTex in Saint Paul, where ICE abducted 14 workers and several observers in November in what was a sign of things to come across the Twin Cities. Fuck ICE.

For me, this was the start of the occupation. A week later they terrorized the East Side guns drawn with SPPDβs assistance.
One of the elementary schools in Talmageβs school district had an ICE car drive around and then try to park in the parking lot this morning before being chased away.
Saying "over half of the company's employees are people of color!" is so funny. What part of PoC making up the majority of retail employees is incompatible with systemic racism?!
Reminds me of the museum docent who told me the Pullman Car Company was anti-racist because they hired black porters.

Plenty of places with a progressive veneer have done shady shit. Plenty of places that would *seem* to have less-good politics vibe have done right by their workers & community.
Speaking as a union organizer with a specific focus on the hospitality industry, I find that _a lot_ of otherwise politically astute people fall into broad assumptions about employers based on very superficial vibes.
Damn are those still available somewhere?
