We should not be allowing B1, B2 or B52 planes to use the runway in Fairford as a staging point for the illegal Trump war.
There is nothing defensive about these types of aircraft.

Some good conversations in Southmead this afternoon.
Picked up some issues. And came across this community book 📚receptacle - what a marvellous idea.
My Bristol will always be a welcoming city, a place where minorities feel at home, a place of hope, not hate.
Those who seek to divide us are not the true face of Bristol.
Bristol is, and always will be, a City of Sanctuary.
I welcome this statement.

Well I’m not jumping for joy.
Perhaps he should keep shifting rightwards to Reform UK? And take Jonathan Hinder MP with him.
🌹 Labour is working hard to support Bristol families with the cost of living. Interest rates and mortgages are coming down, the minimum wage is going up and rail fares and prescriptions are frozen.
"There is an alternative way forward: being True – not Blue – Labour. True Labour doesn’t fear those who are different. Instead, it demands everyone contribute their abilities to society – and works to unlock such skills."

Helping families in Southmead with the cost of living.
Real action, real benefits.
Me closing the Plimsoll bridge in Bristol today. Sorry for any delays.

My dog could have won the 2024 general election- and he’s not even a political strategist.
Bristol Green Party claim we don’t participate. They ignore our proposals that are democratically agreed (too hard) but take as their own proposals they voted against.
Cllr Dudd:-
“Is it even worth us turning up if we carry resolutions, and it’s not followed?”

Fantastic that Bristol will be a host city for the women’s T20.
Will inspire so many more women & girls to take up the sport.
Bristol Labour are passionate to make sure that we invest in sport, including infrastructure. Hence our motion to council next week.

Our region deserves a transport system we can all trust and be proud of.
Seeing what other regions have achieved shows what is possible in the West too, and I am determined to get the work done to deliver transport here that is reliable, safe and affordable.
An image of a rail ticket reading 'Rail fares frozen. After 30 years of rises - this Labour Government is putting passengers first. Route: real change, arriving on time."
❄️ This Labour government has frozen rail fares for the first time in three decades - putting money back in people’s pockets and easing the cost of living for hard-working people.
🚆 After years of Tory neglect, we’re building a railway that puts passengers first.
🆕 From the Windrush era to today, the UK has made significant progress towards becoming a more equal society. But in recent years, we have seen worrying signs of regression. Labour Councillor Carole Johnson writes for Bristol24/7 ⬇️

A Guardian opinion piece from Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, is headlined: "Labour must stop channelling Reform and unite with progressives. That's the lesson from Gorton and Denton."
I'm proud to lead a progressive region here in the West of England, working together to deliver change that people can see and feel.
Sadiq's right: a brave and bold vision of hope can build on the government's trade deals for jobs, breakfast clubs for kids, and protections for renters.
The Bristol Green Party voted against this Bristol Labour amendment in the 2025 budget and are now calling for more control of buses 🤦♀️.
The same Bristol Green Party who subsequently realised this money could be put to use for night buses, just as Cllr Rippington suggested 🤦♀️.
Polanski would allow the Russian jackboot and Iranian tyranny to threaten the UK.
He will take us out of NATO and doesn’t support our brave armed forces, like those defending Cyprus.
And unlike him and his Green Party, I don’t rely on the support of obnoxious transphobes like George Galloway.
Good to be at Tony Benn House in Bristol for the Unite Equalities SW LGBT+ history month event.

Plans to make refugee a status of perpetual limbo will do nothing to stop people who need help seeking it nor make it possible for them to rebuild their lives and contribute. I call for humane and effective asylum reforms because I am true Labour, not blue Labour. www.thetimes.com/uk/politics/...
BREAKING: it appears that the MHRA, in control of the UK puberty blocker trial, appointed a senior officer who had previously mocked supporters of trans rights online.
Recusal is not enough here. He and those responsible for appointing him should resign.
How can trans people trust them now?
‘Up to £117 off your annual energy bill thanks to Labour’
🌹 Labour is helping Bristol families with the cost of living.
💷 This April bills are coming down, the minimum wage is going up and train fares and prescriptions are frozen. More money in your pocket.
This result shows people want something different from the same old.
We need to listen and act.
At our best Labour is a voice for change, progress and hope but importantly, we deliver it.
Labour can be a progressive force for good in every community.
We need to prove ourselves like never before.
I have dozens of pictures of Southmead fly tips on my phone, often taken at exactly the same place. Mattresses a speciality! At the moment there’s a problem with black refuse sacks being dumped on Greystoke Avenue.
Bristol Green Party’s response - do nothing!

You can obviously use Google - try searching yourself. But if that’s too difficult, here’s just one example (and goodbye):-

You said they were ‘mythical’.
I pointed you to an example of a Family Hub I know about.
You then showed that you are able to do a google search.
Well this ain’t mythical - significant investment in new and existing facilities in 2025 :-

We have brought a motion to council asking to make the city more accessible. The Labour councillor who proposed this uses a wheelchair.
And I have a new educational provision for deaf SEND kids opening in my ward.
I’ll take no lectures from a baby octopus.
