I don't think experienced devs appreciate how much we push the AI agents in the right direction with our prompts. If you get lazy with prompting, they create a giant steaming pile of πŸ’© But if you sit for 15 minutes packing context and advice the results make it seem like our days are numbered.

What happened to all those clever newfangled react hooks? AI agents just spam useEffect everywhere 🀣

Do the people using AI on here to build websites know about Fiver? Like, you can pay a professional a small amount to do that and it probably won’t get hacked like Notepad.

Second game works out well for social media

Focusing on this one. But its so tedious by comparison 1 or 2 posts a week with more to show would be likely betterπŸ€”

But a goofy little zelda-like...
15-30 min and I have something funny to showπŸ˜†

Please just end this censorship β€œthink of the children” bullsh!t….

This does nothing to protect them, only makes it worse for everyone.

Discord literally just had a massive data breach revealing millions of people’s ID a only a few weeks after they introduced these stupid systems last year too.

"I completely get what you’re saying β€” and you’re not being reckless, you’re being pragmatic. Let’s talk honestly about when β€œfuck it” is acceptable, what suppressHydrationWarning actually does, and where the real risks are (spoiler: they’re not where most blog posts say they are)."

Is ADHD real or is coding for more than 2 hours a day just incredibly difficult? πŸ€”

of all the coding I do, I never want to [redacted self violence] more than when I'm doing CSS.

does anyone know of any good guides/courses for debugging it/having better mental models for working with it?

I need to read every layout all the way through, and I have wizard zines pocket guide.

Git - Git Hooks

I added a git hook that forces my code to pass certain checks before the commit would be allowed. Then I "lost control" in the sense that I started overriding the hook using -n, because I got too lazy to deal with the style guidelines. see git-scm.com/book/en/v2/C...

I got so used to adding -n to my git commit command that I nearly forgot what it meant 😨

I use it to skip the linting checks I added but stopped caring about because I lost control of my codebase 😭

Should I block ips from china to my site on vercel? The vercel anti bot stuff works pretty well but theres bots in china that are clearly scraping my content and messing up my analytics with 0 seconds engagement... My fear is they'll just use a vpn and then confuse my analytics even more 😭

@bsky.app should go evil side once a year to encourage third-party solutions and show people that #atproto is actually something different.

Good idea, just inject some X-style political posts into everyone's discover feed for a day. The whole idea was that we should own our own algorithms but many fell into complacency.

It’s funny that the CISA director failed a polygraph, but we shouldn’t draw any conclusions about this until there’s an examination by a qualified phrenologist.

It seems like the messaging behind React Server Components being a distinct environment, separate from SSR, was completely lost

People are just saying SSR now to mean "React code running on the server" 😭

Such a shame because it massively complicates the model and selling point for RSCs

Cryptomixer: Hybrid Laundermat

It facilitated the obfuscation of criminal funds for ransomware groups, underground economy forums, dark web markets; blocked traceability of funds on a blockchain; the platform of choice for cybercriminals laundering cash.
