I blame the fact that for a long time people kept telling me I should make eye contact more, so I'm hyper-aware of it.
I don't know why but I have recently started to notice people's eyeballs in TV dramas. Specificially where they're looking when there's a close up. They seem to dart about all over the place. It's most distracting.

Sounds interesting. I've also noticed that if I'm focussed (and, more importantly, interested) I completely forget that being hungry is a thing until I finish. Sounds like this is the same phenomenon.
Feels like my brain uses "needing to pee" as a way of stopping me doing things; although it could be that when I'm focussed I forget I need to and it's only when I need to switch tasks that I notice.

Made me snort as this is *exactly* what my brain imagines happening in these situations.
Hazy sky over the beach, sun reduced to a very bright smudge. Sea pretty much invisible now.

Seeing articles mentioning the fact that the oldest trains currently in use on the tube are 1972 stock with the implication "Shock horror! How old!" and yet I clearly remember them still using 1938 stock in the late 1980s. Which of course was much older.
