I suspect thereβs a big S3 bucket with append to file just hooked into protocol. Despite that, this is cool. Posting should by nature be ephemeral.

Sure thing. Have a nice rest of evening π
Natural disasters unless explicitly stated etc etcβ¦ itβs all in the wording.
Point still stands, theyβre not a burden on the UK system. If they want to be flown βhomeβ they can pay for it. Think we can agree to disagree.
I moved to NL. But I have no issue if someone moves there and does their own thing. Good on them.
Live and let live.
They legitimately arenβt residents here, they pay for roads, council and police elsewhere, so why tax them as such?
Same here, I used to be the guy writing the car insurance models π
Same logic applies to you if you take an extended holiday or sabbatical elsewhere. Youβre not a resident there, youβre paying tourist taxes.
My health insurance that I pay for does indeed use the NHS + private hospitals. It also pays them when I use it.
When you visit a country for holidays, the locals there also pay for the police, roads, council. So whats the difference?
So thatβs exactly why I pay for travel health insurance and VAT on goods when I visit.
Oh yeah, screw those guys haha.
So then charge them a fair rate for services provided and let them live their lives abroad? Seems fair π€·ββοΈ
Indeed, so to bring it back to the initial topic, why are we going after every day people moving abroad for a better life, rather than the James Dysons and Starbucks?
Why is it always bashing the neighbour trying to make their life better or the kid moving abroad for more opportunity or avo eaters?
Passing the blame here wonβt change much, we all had the same vote that day. Weβre now at the βfind outβ stage of things.
Not especially. Every day people are leaving for a better life elsewhere. Good for them.
Not especially, I'm on a higher tax rate (49.5%) living in NL than I was in the UK π€· The UK has just gotten worse and more expensive over the years, with nothing to show for it.
Quality of life is a big thing.
Other countries are simply more attractive. The UK used to be very attractive, can't say the same now.
Brexit, sewage into the sea, poor roads, awful government, the royal nonce, student fees, housing, cheaper to fly via another country than to take the train across the country. The list goes on.
The British ability to always hate on the successes of others is astounding. If they want repatriation, they can pay for it. But they left for a reason.
At a previous job we had an auto deletion rule in place for anything > 6mo. If itβs not been actioned in that time, it clearly wasnβt important enough.
Honestly, this. Build first, get your customers. Then consider if itβs really a move you want to make.
Tanker traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has all but stopped since yesterday.

The ability to have AI create unit and integration tests is a huge game changer. Bowling with the guard rails up just became easier!

Had to dig a little, but:
* Sadiq pushed for it in 2018, rejected by Westminster council (londonist.com/london/news/...)
A
* At the time the council was controlled by Conservatives en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_We...
Pretty sure last time they attempted this the conservatives in power blocked it one way or another. Now itβs labour in control of London and the government that roadblock (lol) is no more.
AI is huge for indie devs. Your velocity just increased.
That 1 hour in the evening where I used to do nothing because it wasn't enough time to code is now more than enough to make a change. I love it!
Eating early, setting an alarm to start winding down.
Looks like log4j to me.
Set up second server with Hertzner πͺπΊ - that means 3 servers behind the load balancer. Going to give it a day or so, then destroy the DigitalOcean box.
Iβve taken a βsecond mover advantageβ approach towards AI and I feel I know whatβs maturing.
My aim is to Ask NanoClaw to write a feature, I & AI review, I accept, then auto deploy to servers via CI pipeline.
Lots of work and trial and error and securing before that.
