Morph ball slingshotting was the coolest new addition to Metroid Prime 4.
I really wish they had added more new abilities that created emergent gameplay and surprising ways to traverse the environment.
I also wonder if a bike was necessary when they could have just added a faster morph ball. 🤷♂️
Finished Pokemon ZA. Liked the ending, felt like it captured the energy of the Pokemon tv show and movies.

I also spent significant time collaborating with Toby and Alexmdle on assembling the Hammer of Justice battle. That one took a long time. Incredibly grateful and lucky for the opportunity to work on these. Glad people enjoyed!
It’s not mentioned in the newsletter because I forgot, but I programmed the full Shadowmantle battle and was responsible for balancing and integrating all the minigames for the Tenna battle. (1/2)

I finished annotating (most of) the translation with 8-4's assistance. I skipped a couple unfinished parts, but it's enough for the translator to properly start work on Monday! Yay!
Now that's Winter, I'm thinking about NEWSLETTER. But I haven't written anything for one yet...
Right now, my energy is going towards preparing Chapter 5 for localization. The translation process begins next week. We have extracted all the English text and we are now annotating it.

Has the narrative changed about long games?
Do most people still get upset that some games aren't long enough? I'm talking about 40+ hour games.
I actually do remember that feeling!
They felt almost mystical and impossible to complete.
I remember when I was in highschool my big brother told me to never work on RPG because they are boring. LOL.
I had a friend play through an early unfinished version of Chapter 5!
Their testimonial was "I am still thinking about it a lot and want to play it more and it's kawaii when toby is worried about if it's good enough"
