It's the last day of the month. What went well for you in March? What are you looking forward to in April?

Hear me out. A party bus. But it stops at the woods so we can go scream into the void.
But how do we do that when things feel overwhelmed? We turn within, and ask ourselves how to find pleasure in the chaos, to find stillness in the noise. Joy is resistance. Joy in the dark is power.
Because that feels like the energy of February to me, tending to our inner flame, not letting our light go out.
Imbolc is about the very first stirrings of spring, but it's mostly underground, with roots waking up in the soil, getting the foundation ready before new growth above ground. It's about tending to that inner flame that we nurture. Which I feel is a lovely reflection β¬οΈ
I've been thinking a lot this week on how I can help folks find the light in the dark right now. Not to pretend that everything is fine. It obviously isn't. But to tend to that kernel of flame so it doesn't go out.
βMoreover, all Times opinion writers were banned from engaging in any kind of media criticism. Hardly the kind of rule that would allow an opinion writer to state, βwe are being lied into war.ββ
All this to say, take care of yourself. Your light is needed the most right now.β
This could look like listening to your favorite music, taking a walk, just being outside, focusing on your breathing. Iβve found that talking to plants soothes my nervous system lately as Iβve been tending to seedlings Iβm growing inside during the winter months.β
The key is to recognize what has happened and make the choice not to stay there. When weβre activated, we canβt make choices from a grounded place. We act based on survival. So cultivating practices that bring you back to center, that help you find a sliver of safety for your nervous system to rest.
Keeping that in mind, itβs important this week to stay present and attend to what is within your control. There is a lot swirling, a lot shifting, and a lot of absolutely heinous acts by the current administration happening. This can activate our nervous systems.
This is an intense week with a lot of Pluto activity that speaks to unearthing, destruction, and change. There is always the hope that things are torn down to be rebuilt better, but we never know where the winds of change lead us until weβre already there.β
Today's astrology includes Mercury sextiles Neptune, which is really lovely for any kind of creative work, for deep meditation, for even daydreaming and seeing what comes up for you, what message is waiting for you.
I have to plan way ahead since my schedule revolves around my kiddos. And I'm side eyeing the fact that Mars Retrograde ends at the end of Feb, just for Venus Retrograde to begin on March 1, and Mercury Retrograde starts a couple of weeks later. I get it, it's a slow start to the year. π€£
Looking forward to tomorrow's Venus trine Mars. This is a wonderful transit for a date night or hanging out with friends. We're gonna do a at home movie date!
I've been coping with news by re-reading some of my fav books, starting with the Crystal Bloom series by @sarahaparker.bsky.social β¨ it's been getting me through this week π
2025 is a 5 year for me, which is all about risks and change. And I've already got things planned for next year which are pushing me to my growth edges. It's all about being able to sit in the uncomfortableness and trust the process.
Planning out 2025 and I'm really excited about the things I'll be bringing to life: journals, a new oracle deck, ritual cloths, and so many sticker ideas for the Soul Care Planner.
Blue had a thinking chair. I have a thinking shower.
All the Virgo in my chart means I stumble my way into analysis paralysis in the daily.
I saw a comment where someone was asking why folks would use AI to write a short post or email. Why not just write it themselves?
Because our society consumes content at a rapid pace & small biz owners are struggling to keep up with the content demand in order to stay relevant & in people's minds.
Did I watch The Eras Tour film again last night in honor of the last Eras concert? You know it.
I have *feelings* about the 2025 Pantone Color of the Year π
A peek at today's astrology:
Venus enters Aquarius. Venus is our values, which includes romance and finances. Aquarius is all about innovation, friendship, social justice, and technology. When Venus is in Aquarius, how we express our feelings for one another may shift and become more open.
Mars Retrograde can mean that we feel less motivated and also have less physical energy. This can be frustrating for so many, but its important to remember that periods of rest and slowing down are vital to our well being.
Mars Retrograde begins today. Mars is the planet of energy, anger, passion, and action. While it is retrograde, it's a good time to review how we spend our energy, our motivations and desires, our passions and aggression.
