tbh i think they could've given him something more than just largely a trace of his existing art. this doesn't really fit the typical design norms of mario emblems other than the colors.
even foreman spike's emblem feels more stylized to fit the other mario emblems than this one imo

Not for me. Even when it's a small window it knows to make it a black screen in any recordings started already. Starting a recording/trying to take a screenshot while Nintendo Today content is visible onscreen anywhere causes my phone to go "one of the apps on screen doesn't allow screenshots"
