or similar things dont bat an eyelid at all the real-world suffering going on as long as it doesnt affect them too much. and really people's reactions to him saying this prove this point very well cause many of the people ive seen posting about the petition ~mysteriously~ arent posting about this
in an interview gdl said hed prefer people focus on petitioning/donating to real-world causes ianto would support instead of focusing on the shrine and like. i dont think hes really AGAINST the shrine petition but hes probably aware that many people who riot about the shrine or a show ending
torchwood feed has become unuseable because everyone is posting the same 2 articles about the shrine

its specifically the framing of it as "we need to show we care and we're willing to fight!!!" that i find stupid. because the shrine has a whole volunteer caretaker already who did try to get the shrine to be put back. and many other people leaving tributes. it doesn't take a genius to see people
its already a miracle it lasted nearly 17 years tbh
the shrine was very clearly still maintained and visited so its not about it being abandoned or something they probably just want the area for something else. an effort to move the shrine to another location would be a much better use of time than a petition
the petition is the stupidest thing in the world ngl since the timeframe for taking it down is so short it means they probably decided this months ago and it just wasnt made public until now. and i dont think a couplz hundred or even thousands of random internet people will change this cause

i think the only cds im missing are the ones for the miracle day audiobooks but tbh idk if theyre worth it. one is written by the b*rr*wm*ns and one i already listened to and it was bad and i think theres only 2 others lol. not really worth the hassle of finding them
well irs mostly because im working at the same time tbh
lost focus about halfway through because it turns out audiobooks are wayyy harder to focus on than audio dramas since theres only 1 narrator. but i liked the beginning ill try again tomorrow
its possible to watch torchwood without watching dr who if youre interested
so ianto is a character from the tv show torchwood (dr who spinoff aimed at an older audience) and theres only 4 seasons but theres over 150 audio dramas because dr who is insane with paramedias (ianto isnt in every audio drama but hes in a good chunk of them + some books and comics)

i want to talk about ianto 24/7 but i know its not possible and even getting a small amount pf ianto conversation per day is already hard enough but also it feels like my brain is melting from keeping it all in . but like irs hard to go "hey listen to my giant unorganized rant then engage with it
autism is so weird cause on one hand i cant imagine a life without special interests and with a weird obsession with arbitrary social norms but on the other hand i fucking wish i could just be naturally relatively liked and understood by people and not second guess every single thing i do or say
its the worst ever misinterpretation of my personality cause im literally just making myself more palatable to people but they dont notice that they think of it as like. personal improvement or some shit instead
its like one time my friend told me "oh you used to want to talk all the time but now i can tell youre more comfortable because you accept moments of silence :-)" no you dumbass irs cause you literally weren't listening to me half the time so what was even the point
for context shes also autistic she just has the social norms engrained wayyyyyy deeper into her head than me
