Bluesky now has 40M users. X has 600M. Figure 300M of those are bots. 100M more are various disinformation offices of nefarious governments (including ours). 150M are corporate marketeers trying to sell crap. Everyone keeps talking about how much better the Western Conference is. But the East has four really good teams (and Charlotte!), too.

Here's why the conferences have surprising parity this season, and what that means for the playoffs:

After play on Jan. 21, the Charlotte Hornets were 16-28. They're now 31-31. No team in NBA history who had 16 or fewer wins through their first 44 games of a season has finished with a winning record. Hornets can achieve that status if they go at least 12-10 the rest of the way.
