Andrew Cooper: 'Cap will end one of the worst injustices of the leasehold system' For many people, the reality of home ownership has fallen far short of the dream they were promised.

So many people in Mid Cheshire have been screwed over by the current leasehold system. I'm delighted that the Government are taking steps to tackle it, but much more needs to be done.

This is exactly my worry. I'm reminded that the people who were calling for a Grand Theft Auto ban when I was in my teens are the people who have fallen victim to a Facebook/YouTube algorithm that re-enforces their worst prejudices and actively radicalises.

I also raised this in the chamber yesterday and I'm really pleased that the Transport Secretary has agreed to discuss the idea with me.

This is good. It is reminiscent of my frustrations trying to get rail investment in Mid Cheshire.

Mid Cheshire in line for multi-million-pound bus boost for next three years Cheshire East and Cheshire West councils are in line for more than £19 million during 2026/2027, 2027/2028 and 2028/2029.

Really pleased about the Government's decision to boost funding for local bus services.
