Chlorine dioxide is an industrial bleach for lumber and freaks like RFK give autistic kids enemas with it. Kids die from the practice. These people just want autistic kids dead.

If this is your motivation, a campaign manager would be an entirely unnecessary expenditure.

I dunno if that was what happened here, but it's a nonzero possibility.

There's nothing particularly wrong about running a campaign you don't expect to win, if what you're trying to do is move a particular set of policy preferences into the forefront of the campaign and force the person that you think is going to win to back them (or, not, as the case may be).

On the one hand, it is almost never a good idea for the state legislature to weigh in on education.

One the other hand, we really don't need a new version of "The Confederacy was about state's rights".

So, approve.

We are gonna be really far away from the edge of this cliff before the economy looks down

It is so, so weird to watch this administration *straining* against all of the things that are historically foundational pillars holding up a normally functioning economy, and the economic metrics are only barely showing the impact.

Is it true the motto of the Royal Artillery is ubique, which translates as "all over the place"?

I think they might have better luck spending two thousand dollars holding a press conference where they detail who made the key decisions to collaborate with the Trump administration, how and when they were fired, and explaining what would stop that from happening again.

Somewhere on campus there is a fabled room containing dozens of black slate chalkboards rescued from building remodels and it's kinda surprising how much those things are worth

We had a whiteboards-only policy in this building and then we merged with a smaller department and one of the professors came in with a drill and mounted the black slate chalkboard from his old office on the wall of his new office.

I think there will be a blood war when he retires

I remember back on academic Twitter was when the guy revealed he had like two hundred boxes of chalk from a Japanese chalk maker that had halted production of his favorite chalk

So there is a story about the "top 10 cities at risk during nuclear war" circulating in various tabloids/etc. with my name attached to it, and I will say that a) I never have (nor would) make such a list at all, and b) I never said any of the quotes attributed to me in the article.

One of the great failings of humans generally is that we want to live in a deterministic universe but we live in a probabilistic one.

Oddly though our languages understand this better than we do.

Maybe.

TBF America needs about six million middle managers and by my estimation about 200,000 are actually good at the job.

Natural language coding is not a thing because natural language has contexually-dependent meaning and computers do not understand context
