Love changes how we see people. Obviously a spark of attraction is preferable but that sometimes comes later.
In my early twenties I met who would become my first girlfriend. When I initially met her, I thought she had the strangest face. Weeks later we were in a bar together and I remember thinking she was the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen.
On episode 2. Some good dialogue on the politics of beauty and love.

Lots of intelligent good people work in public health. And lots of elected politicians will sell those fuckers in a heartbeat if it means more seed money for their next campaign.
It’s a mountain of shit.
We have been lied to by authority figures for YEARS about myriad things in public health, our food, the air we breathe and the water we drink. People have legitimate concerns about the government being in bed with private corporations and that makes them extremely vulnerable to RFK jr’s bullshit.
I’m not touching that vax discourse, but if you don’t think snake oil salesmen like RFK Jr aren’t going to leverage misinformation to persuade adults to make stupid decisions about their children’s health, idk what to tell you. This is how propaganda works.
