Happy Day After The Day After Weird Pride Day, everyone!
This is a good video on what's wrong with the idea of 'normal' by @revolutionaryth0t.bsky.social, drawing on the work of @drrobertchapman.bsky.social.

Weird Pride Day made it into a TV news segment yesterday on @thatstvofficial.bsky.social, thanks to @auroraconsulting.bsky.social - as far as we know, the first time we've been mentioned on telly!

For anyone who has struggled with where they belong, and whether you even want to belong. Brilliant discussion.
Happy Weird Pride Day!! In honor of the day, I will share 3 things that makes me weird:
1. I am a mermaid!
2. I hate chocolate.
3. I have so many made-up words, my dad thinks my mom and I speak another language.
What makes you weird/unique?

On this #weirdpride day Iβd like to thank some of the people who helped me get through my childhood. Anne McCaffery, Madeline LβEngle,Terry Brooks JRR Tolkien, CS Lewis, Raymond E. Feist, Niel Hancock, & Piers Anthony.
These folks let Me escape. To Pern, Midkemia, Atlanton Earth & the rest.
The Weird Pride feed will go on picking stuff up automatically, tonight and for the foreseeable future!
But from us, good night.

Well, happy #WeirdPride night, folks! It's been a lot of fun, in the midst of a difficult time for much of the world.
The What's Happening page has been updated to What Happened, with links to various discussions and writing posted today. Doubtless some stuff got missed!

One of our speakers at Weird Pride Lightning Talks was a no-show, and the others kept to time really well, so we were left with a bit of time to fill.
I'd already read two poems, so I had a look around for another one, and found this, forgotten, on my drive.
On-topic.

It's my favorite holiday, WEIRD PRIDE DAY!
I'll be spending the day being weird (same thing I do every day, Pinky).
Here's a nice thread of Weird Pride events.
Or, you can celebrate Weird Pride Day by catching up on the Weird Luck webcomic!

Those ones probably weren't ours originally, but we stand by them.
Society needs to get an *awful lot* better at recognising, understanding and adapting to neurodivergent people's needs (as with other more obvious disabilities of course)
Today is #WeirdPride day which calls for this, and an end to the stigma around neurodivergence
Itβs a lot easier to relax into our intrinsic weirdness if weβre not employed in a typical large company. Iβm retired, the career I was made for. Went to art college in my 40s, didnβt realise how weird Iβd become until I struggled in employment afterwards.
On the event of Weird Pride Day... a modest proposal...

Happy Weird Pride Day to all who celebrate!
I'm really happy with how it's coming together so far. I hope we'll see a good few people posting bits of writing and videos and things today, too, besides the things I've directly organised myself (with help from many others)...

Happy Weird Pride Day, everyone!
Here's a bit of the context to all this:

A dark teal slide themed around Alice in Wonderland. In the centre-left, a large quote in a white speech box reads: βDo you suppose sheβs a wildflower?β Beneath the quote is an illustration of a colourful mushroom surrounded by flowers. On the right side is a whimsical drawing of Alice floating horizontally inside a room filled with shelves, jars, and curiosities. At the bottom left stands the White Rabbit holding a pocket watch. The title βAlice in Wonderlandβ appears in large text across the bottom, with βAliceβ in a script-style font and βin Wonderlandβ in bold yellow lettering. Decorative elements include a teapot and teacup set, and an βAutistic Realms β Neurodiversity Affirmingβ logo in the bottom right. Small text at the bottom credits Lewis Carrollβs Aliceβs Adventures in Wonderland (1865) and notes that images were created in Canva.
Happy @weirdpride.day 2026!
