after today’s events, and subsequently feeling and experiencing hate and vitriol directed at me at the radio factory, i told a friend: “wow i feel insane.” they said, “it’s not insane to care and to feel deeply, but i understand the sentiment.”
is it the cold? is it injustice? is it just “generalized anxiety?” is it too much caffeine? is it not enough? is it exhaustion? is it noise? is it the idea of instant gratification and no one is content? is it impending and increasing political doom? is it that daily existential crisis? is it me?
today a listener and i were talking about the different kinds of “nerds” there are and he coined me as an “encouragement nerd.” i’m honoured. 🥲
if there’s one thing ALL canadians can agree upon during this current timeline it’s that we’re not america, are never gonna “join america,” and are never gonna be it. RIGHT? … everybody?? RIGHT???
