I need everyone whose response to yesterday's animation news was "Just go indie!" to understand two things.

1.) "Work For Hire" means the company owns what you've created. You have no rights to it unless explicitly stated in the contract.

2.) Going indie does not pay the bills.

I played classical piano competitively for 10+years, Baritone horn for 3 years of band, ukulele in college, and lately I really missing playing an instrument!

I want something that isn't too pricey, that I could teach myself, but I'm not really interested in guitar and that seems the easiest entry

Kind of unrelated, but the first ent i went to for this, wore one of those circular reflector things on his head and as a kid i was like ‘wow! Cartoons are real!’ 😅
