Calls for stronger remote working rights
The Labour Party, as well as a number of trade unions and campaign groups, have called for stronger remote working rights for employees.
βCurrently, there is no legal right for employees to work remotely and we support legislation which would give workers the fundamental right to remote work, when and where possible.

βIn 2016, almost 200,000 people spent an hour or more getting to work, 81,897 of whom were parents of children under 15. Flexible work enables parents to have non-linear workdays, do school drop-offs, pickups, and activities.
