Love @AEW but man, six years and they still cannot avoid technical issues. At least once a show the camera cuts away when something is about to happen. Tonight it was the reveal of the Hologram rival. Just maddening.

This is more anti-intellectualism. People like these movies but can't stand smart people or that art can be more than a soup can's ingredients. So they rationalize things they like by saying they aren't about anything.

Wanna see something cool?

At the Grammy's in 1976, Ella Fitzgerald and Mel Torme explained what jazz is.

The result? The crowd losing its mind. πŸ”₯

I went on a huge pulp kick in my 20s. MacDonald, Hammett, Chandler, Cain, Black Mask, etc. and then the ones who kept it alive later like Bill Pronzini and his "Nameless" series.

I agree that Jericho is for the TV deal. I wonder if Samoa Joe returns soon and they set up a program with those two. Big Bill would be a great choice after the TV deal begins.

Yes! I love Suspense, Inner Sanctum, CBS Mystery Theater, The Whistler, Mysterious Traveler, Dark Fantasy, and Escape among others. My favorite is probably Agnes Moorehead's "Sorry, Wrong Number."

When those are done, you also have Equal Rites as a prototype of the Tiffany Aching novels. I loved that one, but I don't think it gets enough recognition for its empowering themes.
