I haven’t been on socials much by design. Today Slay the Spire 2 released and that’s what I’ll be doing for the foreseeable future.

Someone give me a quick jab now and again so I don’t forget to eat and starve at my desk.

The fuckers tear gassed a preschool today. I was going to make a joke about Balaclava Barney Fife panicking about a bunch of little kids, but I don’t have a sense of humor about this bullshit at all.

They’re murdering helpers and assaulting kids under 5. I don’t laugh much any more.

My 11yo son is taunting my 9yo daughter. He keeps telling her he’s going to sleep in her spot.

She hasn’t noticed though because she’s making fart noises at him with her armpit and chanting “I’m Darth Serious!”

New glasses are here! I can finally see again! I didn’t realize how bad my near vision had gotten until it was corrected. Glasses haven’t been this revolutionary since I got my first pair in the 7th grade! 👓

Eye appointment today resulted in progressive lenses. It’s a bummer that I’m getting older I guess, but at least I’ll be able to do it without quite so many headaches.

I’ve been hearing for a couple years that I have progressive lenses in my future. I think this week’s eye appointment is the one where it happens.

I honestly kind-of hope it is. I can’t see shit any more.

Some days it’s a flaky laptop display. Some days it’s my flaky eyes.

Good thing my recent medical stuff probably isn’t an emergency, because the very earliest I can see a specialist is February!

There’s some suspicion I might have aphantasia, but I just don’t see it.

I’m dangerously close to just putting a documentary on to distract me during the third hour of this meeting.

Covered up with meetings today. Have a tremendous amount of work to do.

I got this.

I’m on day two of a tension/migraine headache and it can stop any time now.

First day back in the office since mid-December. It’s a bit of a shock to my system after being at home so long, but the structure and human interaction is honestly pretty good for me.

So is the shortage of snacks.

We’ve had five kids in the house for the last few days. We’re back to our normal three, and they’re pretty bummed that they have to undo the havoc they’ve done.

Kids had their elementary school Christmas concert today, and now they’re home until January.

How the hell am I going to figure out what to feed these guys three times a day for weeks on end? I struggle with twice!
