I just flopped on my bed and took a sip of coke and my fitness band excitedly told that I had just reached my calorie goal for the day. Alright then.

I've written up my understanding of SDF and MSDF fonts, and how to use them with msdfgen+webgl: www.redblobgames.com/articles/sdf...
(I'll post it on my blog soon too)
It's the denim shirt, I'm telling you
wow ok
I misread this as "I'm still routinely intimate [...] some people in tech". Not gonna lie, I felt a tinge of jealousy.
FYI, the site should be back up again. Let's hope I don't get any more fraudulent takedown requests π₯²
A screenshot of a YouTube video thumbnail of a man playing guitar that looks suspicously like Joe Tannenbaum
@joe.codes Dude, first you play in Vulfpeck without telling me, now you randomly show up on my YouTube frontpage again. You're a man of many talents, Joe. Or should I say NICOLA?!
Part of the magic of people building stuff pre-AI for me was that no matter how silly the project, someone actually had to think about it and spend their own time building it. "Claude spit this out in 3 minutes" really doesn't hit the same.
The problem with all these AI projects is that they're all so fundamentally .. uninteresting (to me). "My agent built an agent harness so that my agent can agent even harder (with AI!!)". Yeah, cool bro.
My biggest personal annoyance with AI is how no one seems to be building interesting things anymore that aren't AI-related. There's really only a handful of accounts left that I follow which feel like the pre-AI hacker space I used to love.
I put some more info in the issue on GitHub github.com/ksassnowski/... tl;dr: I've sent an appeal to my hosting provider and am waiting for a response. Unfortunately nothing else I can do at the moment :(
I dunno, Marty. "My cats love it" isn't really the strongest selling point to me π

So I tried Vegemite for the first time recently and have a question for all my Australian friends: this is a giant practical joke yβall play on the rest of the world, right?
Yeah I noticed. This might take a little bit to resolve because apparently the server's IP got blocked by my hosting provider for some reason π«
Diablo 2 just got a new expansion. The world is healing.
I'm just gonna leave this here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=E25-...
Congrats! That's a huge achievement!
I swear, drawing that stupid square at the end of a mathematical proof has got to be the most satisfying thing ever.
I am happiest and proudest of my work when I am building things for other developers. I'd love to begin contributing to a meaningful, open source project, but I'm not sure where to even start.
I stayed in contact with him for quite a while after he got a job so that wasn't the trigger.
I appreciate the vote of confidence (kinda)
Yeah, I'm not sure what happened to Jacob. I actually became quite good friends with him but one day he simply stopped responding. I hope he's doing well
I'm doing this part time while still working a full-time job. I end up getting up very early and get all my studying in before I go to work. I don't really have the mental capacity to do this after a full day of work.
I still remember when I built the PoC for what became the shader property in Motion Canvas. It was much more primitive than what actually ended up being implemented but it was a real "Holy shit, this changes everything" moment
My maths studies start on April 1 (no, seriously) and I'm unbelievably excited for it!
The speedruns are going to be *wild*
Currently working through a book about proof writing
"Day before your actual day" is a really good way of putting it. Part of what I love about really early mornings is this feeling of the entire world still being asleep.
