With the exception of IAYB, each Strange Scaffold game I've worked on I've expected a divisive response on the assumption that they're too unconventional or specific and every time I've been wrong because that's the thing that made people actually connect with the games personalities

This reminds me of something Toni Morrison wrote.

The most crucial thing about Leon's characterisation is that he is entirely oblivious to how hot he is. The whole thing falls apart if he realizes even for a second. The sincerity that comes with him being that way by total accident is what takes him from nice looking to "oh my GOD"

The games industry is obsessed with data and market trends. It's not even about this genre vs that, or single player vs live service. The suits in charge need to reconnect with the thing that players actually want:

A dude who's insanely fucking hot.

Sorry I'm not more open-minded about LLMs, it's just some fucking maniacs shoveled out a bunch of useless bloatware featuring that technology, did not give me any chance to opt out, reorganized the entire economy around it, zeroed out gains made by green energy, and made it impossible to buy RAM
