The cover of "Revolver" by the Beatles. The art is done by Klaus Voorman showing the individual Beatles at the top and bottom, with a collage behind them.
Album #66 f "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die" is "Revolver" by the Beatles
It's their greatest album. @ me if you feel like it.

The cover to CCR's "Bayou Country." A blurred out picture of the band with their instruments backed by a copse of trees.
Album #65 of "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die" is Credence Clearwater Revival's second album, "Bayou Country." A bit repetitive for my taste, but a couple real legendary tracks.
Favorite song: Proud Mary.

The cover of Ye's first album, "The College Dropout". A picture of Ye's anthropomorphic reperesentation, the Dropout Bear, a reddish brown bear mascot costume weairng a red hoodie, a brown sportcoat and blue-grey pants sitting on school bleachers.
Album #64 of "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die" is Ye's debut album, "The College Dropout."
If you separate the art from the artist, this is an amazing hip-hop album, and it isn't even his best work. The problem is that Ye's antics over the past 15 years hang over his actual art.

The cover to "Low" by David Bowie. A profile photo taken of him against an orange background
Album #63 of "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die" is "Low" by David Bowie
It took me a while to appreciate Bowie's Berlin period, initially. Now it's a highlight of his work to me.

The album cover of "Imperial Bedroom" by Elvis Costello & the Attractions. A painting titled Snakecharmer & Reclining Octopus by Barney Bubbles.
The painting depicts a resting woman with laced hands surrounded by zipper-like creaturesβwhich spell out "Pablo Si"βsitting next to ringmaster-type figure, wearing what Costello interpreted as a tricorn hat.
Album #62 of "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die" is "Imperial Bedroom" by Elvis Costello & the Attractions. While I've enjoyed a bit of Costello's work, this does nothing for me.

Dolly Parton is a living saint. This album has not only songs, but stories as well. It's phenomenal

The cover of the Go-Go's first album, "Beauty & the Beat" All 5 members of the band wrapped in towels, wearing cream on their faces and another towel on their heads with a blue background behind them.
Album #59 of "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die" is "Beauty & the Bear", the debut album by the Go-Gos.
This album is historic. The only album featuring an all-female group who both wrote and played their own instruments to reach #1 on the charts. It's amazing.

Album #58 of "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die" is the final album of the Jimi Hendrix experience, "Electric Ladyland."
While I've listened to plenty of Hendrix, it's the first time listening to this album from beginning to end. It's amazing how many styles he goes through on this album.

The cover of the second Fugees album, "The Score". Headshots of Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill, and Pras Michel against a black background with the band name and album title in gold.
Album #57 of "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die" is the Fugees' second album, "The Score."
Everything about the Fugees has been classic, but fleeting. The band only recorded two albums, and both are can't miss. It's genius at work.

As a result, very little music of that area during that era has really resonated with me. This was the first time I recall ever listening to this band. It's alright, but nothing I feel I need to pursue anytime in the future. (3/3)

My taste in 60s music came mostly from my mother's record collection (Beatles/Doors), plus surf music from being born and raised in Surf City, USA. I never managed to get into the San Francisco scene of that era... I saw the Grateful Dead for the experience rather than their music. (2/3)

Album 56 of "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die" is the Quicksilver Messenger Service' "Happy Trails"
This album's carried by a 25 minute jam suite of Bo Diddley's "Who Do You Love." It's a bit much. (1/?)

Album #54 of "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die" is Elton John's "Madman Across The Water"
TIL Elton tried prog.
Tiny Dancer carries this album. Levon is also good. But the whole album is obscenely over-produced. Indian Sunset is likely the worst song that Bernie Taupin has written.
