@ocasio-cortez.house.gov calls out Republicansβ partisan bill that lets Big Tech off the hook for kidsβ online safety.
Republicans are using kids as a smokescreen for what Big Tech lobbyists want: a national surveillance program to harvest our data with zero protections for people and their privacy.
We must fight this dangerous expansion of surveillance technology.

The overacting adds to the authenticity hahaha
Agreed! However, I hate when engineers use this argument for not doing the basics like input validation or simple injection protection
In my experience, the vast majority of waste in a software shop is time spent building things nobody wants on top of overly complex architectures that solve problems we don't have. Focus on that. Put solving your customer's actual (not imagined) problems first.

Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), you stood by your community when it came to #ICE detention centers in PA. We hope youβll take a stand against government overreach and surveillance by returning Palantir-linked campaign contributions because #Palantir powers ICE. π«‘

@fancypenguin.party I agree algorithms make this more engaging. However, itβs an amazing technical success to have an open network that supports independent algorithms.
Short-term it isnβt easiest path, but atproto is about building the social network[s] for next decade and beyond.

These people are dumber than potatoes. I haven't seen much on why all this age verification bullshit just came out of nowhere at the same time? Like all of a sudden the whole planet wants to track real user activity? Why all of a sudden?

Doing this while we wait for private records on atproto. Optional Passkey PRF encryption for individual record properties.
