this is the web development equivalent of self-checkout at the grocery store.
brave browser on macOS will keep a live vid stream going if there's audio playing, but (if you have the optimize tabs setting turned on) it'll actually disconnect from the stream when you're not watching it. not sure if that happens on other platforms but seems like a similar optimization technique.

lol whoops maybe i shoulda checked the MOTDβ¦kinda feels like a rogue testing PDS that doesnβt have invites disabled but probably should.
i can imagine someone scanning known PDSes for open invites and spamming it with accounts to get it taken down or just slow down db accessβ¦

TLDR from an atproto perspective relays using http/3 can take full advantage of hardware without losing guarantees they get from http/2.
lol jinx
weβre thinking it might be useful for media delivery using `@moq-js/player`, but we might have to hack around not having a <canvas> element on native...but one use case for atproto apps could be a tap-style relay consumer for a particular did and subset of records.
record companies sell plastic, not music.
are yβall using RN and/or expo for the streamplace app? weβre pretty interested in MoQT for the same reasons, but it doesnβt look like itβs supported in native buildsβ¦thinking that a WebTransport polyfill implemented in native code would be useful for both of us?

it probably won't be called EPCOT though because there's already a park with that name. in my cities: skylines build demonstrating/simulating this, i called it Progress City. that was the codename/working title for EPCOT before walt came up with the acronym iirc. still sounds cool today.
speaking of transit we have to talk about conan o'brien's favorite kind of train. the monorail's capacity is not very large, and it's annoying to maintain. just use a regular elevated train to connect EPCOT to connect outside the city. maybe even cross the city with them a la philly's metro.
peoplemovers can be modernized too, no need for LIMs...model them after the autopilot tesla tunnel in vegas. self-powered vehicles on elevated roads that can only go one direction, entirely automated. can charge when you disembark the way some EV disney rides do (star wars: rise of the resistance)
let your kids run outside and play, they can't be hit by a car. hold public demonstrations in the green space between your homes, you can't be killed by a domestic terrorist with a box truck. density increases as you get closer to the center. thru traffic in large highway tunnels and/or overpasses.
EPCOT was designed to fully separate auto traffic from everything else. never see a single car most of the time you were in the city. just transit and walking. green space connecting houses to pedestrian paths. concentric circles so everything is close. no traffic noise, no hit-and-runs, no worries.
