I am aware of .art, hence suggesting some other servers. I'm probably speaking from experience - I tend to hover around servers moderated to be safer for minorities and they tend to silence and/or defederate from .social because of moderation issues at .social
I suspect most people got frustrated when making accounts at mastodon.social because places like mastodon.art and comicscamp.club silence it, so it's harder to interact.
PSA: If you *are* thinking of Mastodon, do NOT make your account at mastodon.social - it is silenced on most other servers.

Because it feels relevant as we continue to evaluate the media and our representatives’ statements, my favorite way to identify the active vs. passive voice.
